Friday Night (FebFair 2012)

Friday night of the fair was probably the busiest night for me. Lots of friends came home and unfortunately there wasn't a lot of time, so I tried to meet them all.

The whole day it was sunny so I was optimistic that the field would be dry, unfortunately around 5pm it started to rain and it didn't stop till around 8pm so the result, Muddy Field! I started to get ready around that time since I knew that my meet ups would be around 9pm or 10pm cause my friends would be coming from Manila. I arrived at the IESO booth (with difficulty maneuvering my way into the muddy field, POOR TOMS!) around 10pm just in time for the delivery of our MoonLeaf 12 Free Cups since we won 2nd place from their Organization Promo! Chek and Gil (SuperFriends! Yes, I forgot to take a photo with them! argh!) was already there in the booth and so were other alumni so we just chatted for a bit while waiting for Agatha & Joanne (also SuperFriends) who were still on their way. Gil and Chek were getting hungry so I told them to go and grab something to eat while I fetch Wei near the D.L. Umali Hall..When Wei arrived we grabbed something to eat at Auntie Pearl's since she hasn't eaten yet and headed to our UP KPS-CDS booth where bro-bino was waiting as well. Chatted for a little bit with them then I headed to the IESO booth again to meet Agatha since she was already there.

FebFair tradition would be to drink at the booth but since we weren't really comfortable with all the mud around, Bino, Wei, Myka, Hitosis & I headed to IC's Bar. Wei's cousin Heylie and her office mates were also in Elbi so we asked them to join us as well. I saw more friends at the bar and took some photos with them.

V-Day 2012

Valentine's Day this year was a bit different from last year..I don't even remember what I did back then to tell you all the truth..hohoho..but non the less Vday only comes once a year and love is definitely in the air! I'm currently not in a relationship, actually i've never had one but Vday isn't just for couples right? I get giddy and excited seeing other people walking around carrying flowers, balloons, gifts etc., handing them out or someone receiving them. This day was dedicated to celebrate and to show the people you love the most how important they are in your life. It's a cliche, I know..I do believe love should be celebrated everyday but hey this one day is really an excuse to have more fun with those you love.

So my day started with greeting my parents and giving them hugs and kisses. I asked them what they were gonna do that day but they really didn't have any plans. I was heading out to Elbi that day cause me and my best friend Alvin had a date! We haven't seen each other since his birthday and we're both single so we figured why not have a date with the best friend?!

We had coffee at our usual place, Coffee Blends and started catching up. After coffee, we went to MoonLeaf Tea Shop with my youngest brother Dong, since he hasn't been there still. We then decided to go to our booth at the Freedom Park since its the First Day of the annual UPLB FebFair where organizations, fraternities and sororities set up booths in and around the field for a week long fair. Food booths and other games also participate in the fair. Every night certain programs are held at the center stage bringing the Elbi community something to look forward to like live bands, constests, debates and the like.

With having two organizations I was fortunate enough to find out that the two booths are not that far from each other so I also visited the UPLB IESO booth.

Overall the day was great! I got to spend it with as much people I love in a day. Not even the mud that my shoes had to endure while we were in the field ruined the good vibe that I had. I received 3 sets of flowers unexpectedly, one from bro-bino, the other from MoonLeaf with those green mini roses of theirs and lastly the Lotus that my friend Karl gave me! Thanks you guys! Way to make a girl feel special on that day! Till the next year! Xoxo!

CoolSoc Ako.. Ikaw?

This would be a late entry from January 26, 2012 and i'm apologizing to my English speaking readers since my title for this entry is in Filipino. CoolSoc is a group that me & 5 other guys (organization mates or what we call brods, short for brothers from my college organization UPLB IESO or the University of the Philippines Los Baños Industrial Engineering Students' Organization) created last year. Our group originated from the study group that we started from our Engineering Science 14a or Engineering Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer subject. The 6 of us would travel for about 30 mins to Burger King at Calamba City to study for our Lecture exams (we had about 6 Lecture and 5 Laboratory Exams for this particular subject), why need to go away from Los Baños you ask? We do believe, 6 heads are better than 1 and truthfully, we're all lazy when it comes to studying that's why the name CoolSoc came up. Arrogantly, the name Cool Society was derived from our status, educational status that is. All of us haven't graduated on time and each one of us has their own story why we're still in college, and believe me i'm not promoting others to be delayed from their studies we just wanted to call our group Cool since we consider ourselves just that! The trip itself heading out to BK, the "studying" part, eating, talking, joking around and going home around 2am in the morning was the ultimate bonding that gave us the deeper foundation for our friendship. I'm the only girl in the group but I never felt left out or out of place cause the thing is they treat me like one of the guys, having 2 brothers and all, and i'd like to think I give them the sisterly or womanly side for everything that we would be talking about. Bottom line is, we accept each other for who we really are and that's enough grounds of friendship for me! So if TJ, Ralph, Ranz, Martin & Jase would read this, I love you guys, you know that already!!! :D So without further a do i'd like you all to have a glimpse of my CoolSoc Brods and me from our ES14a days as well as our latest adventures! :D

Distilled & Ambered

Last Friday I got a text from Wei, my college roommate and one of my bestfriends, inviting me to her birthday celebration on Saturday night and luckily Mama gave me permission to go, we were in Manila that time since we both had doctor's appoinment. My mom went home to Quezon while I headed to Cainta and stayed at my Aunt's place. I was very excited cause the last time I saw her and Pepot was last year before Christmas and during my bestfriend Alvin's birthday blogged by my friend Monica here. I went to Trinoma first to meet up with Kim then headed off to Makati. I took the last train from the North Avenue Station and got off at the Buendia since its the nearest Station to our meeting place.

We hit The Distillery Jupiter first for drinks, then went to Amber Super Lounge. Truth be told it was my first time to party at Makati and The Fort so I was really nervous since i'm staying at Cainta which was still in the Metro but a bit far away and going home in the wee hours of the morning would be very dangerous. Good thing Pepot was going home to Cainta as well so I had company and we actually ended up partying till dawn.
