Bon Voyage!

Last Friday (February 3, 2012) was my cousin Dae's departure to Australia. She's heading off to Queensland to study at Queensland University and also try her luck there. She'd hopefully be back for her sister's wedding in March but would be returning to Australia right after. I'm not so sure when i'd be seeing her after that so I'm glad I got to send her off together with her family. It's really not a secret that me and my cousins are very close, we treat each other as siblings would do and since I don't have any sisters they definitely fill in the position. So here are some of the photos before her departure.

We were all smiling and joking around while waiting for Ate Dae's friend and her companion going to Australia and I'm relieved that we took photos as soon as we got to the Airport cause by the time that they were bound to enter the Terminal there were tears! I tell you we always end up in tears every time someone would be leaving, specially if its one of my cousins. I remember the time we visited Ate Bot in Singapore where she had her OJT last year, she had a shift at the InterContinental that afternoon the day of our flight so we had to part at Bugis Junction. We were saying our goodbyes by hugging and really keeping it together then suddenly my other cousin started sniffing and we all ended up crying in the middle of Bugis. We were crying then laughing because we swore we wouldn't cry. And this day wasn't any different, we were also laughing and making jokes of who would be the first one to cry, or pointing out people who were crying. Once Ate Dae started hugging everyone she was doing it really fast cause she new tears would eventually come and it did. We really can't help it and that's OK, all was well, she'd be back in a month and i'm pretty sure we'd be doing the same thing all over again!

Ate Dae is already in Australia settling and familiarizing her new home and we're here anticipating her return and the upcoming wedding! I'm really excited! I haven't practiced my song yet but I will! We'll see you soon Ate Dae! Take Care! :D
